Led by Kym Scott. Before becoming an international speaker and consultant, Kym was Early Years Lead in the London Borough of Lewisham. This enabled her to support many schools & settings in a variety of circumstances & to informally research the key elements that make for excellent outcomes for children .
This session is aimed at teaching assistants but is also suitable for anyone wishing to further develop their knowledge and understanding of excellent EYFS practice, focusing especially on how to ensure children are well supported and extended through child-initiated learning.
Key elements focused on will be:
- the role of relationships: how to interpret and support children’s behaviour by focusing on helping them develop emotional self-regulation
- the role of the adult: what high quality observation and teaching in play looks like
- the role of the environment: how to provide challenging learning opportunities indoors and out.
Cost: £45 per person
