Alice Sharp Project

This highly successful and unique 12 month programme, led by the inspirational Alice Sharp, looked at how promoting wellbeing and language can help to close the attainment gap.  The programme focused on developing an enriching environment and developing staff confidence to promote creative thinking.

The project came to a close on 5th October with the inspiring Alice Sharp Conference held at Tewin Bury farm. Photographs from the Conference show the settings displays and their work over the12 months project.

SSIF ‘Communicate to Succeed’

Acorns TSA in partnership with Herts for Learning, West Herts Teaching Schools Partnership and The Wroxham TLA are excited to be part of an innovative project, funded by the DfE and Education Endowment Foundation via The Strategic School Improvement Fund.

The project seeks to improve outcomes in writing and maths for children in the Early Years Foundation Stage by developing early communication skills. The FREE programme will aim to raise early years practitioners understanding of strategies to develop rich communication and language skills of Nursery and Reception children. This special opportunity will aim to effectively engage and motivate children in applying good language skills to motivate early writing and mathematical learning experiences.
